Longwood Village is broken into 8 Neighborhoods, all of a different number of homes. Each Neighborhood has a Neighborhood Representative, and possibly up to 2 Alternate Neighborhood Representatives which represent that Neighborhood in community voting.
Each street has a volunteer who acts as a Block Captain. As a Block Captain, your duties are simple and much appreciated, but not over-taxing. Most information, forms, and Directory will be sent to the new resident in a "Welcome Packet" by PMG, and the monthly Longwood Cardinal newsletter will be automatically mailed to them. Once a year, you would deliver phone directories to all the residents on your street. Anything else is up to you, but could include spearheading block parties or acting as a focal point for neighborhood issues.
See your monthly Longwood Cardinal newsletter for a complete list of streets and corresponding Block Captains.
